The Nishinippon Ōhori Fireworks Festival was a fireworks display held at Ōhori Park in Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture, from 1949 to 2018. Staged on the vast pond of Ōhori Park, located in central Fukuoka City, the fireworks were long beloved by citizens as a major event symbolizing summer in Fukuoka.

A distinctive feature of this fireworks display was the beauty of the launched fireworks reflected on the surface of the large pond in the urban park. The shimmering light on the water and the great blossoms of fireworks blooming in the night sky merged into one, offering a double brilliance that captivated many spectators. With outstanding accessibility in the heart of Fukuoka City, at its peak hundreds of thousands of spectators thronged the area around the venue each year, establishing it as a summer tradition.

However, citing difficulties in ensuring safety amid the growing number of spectators, it brought its roughly 70-year history to a close after the 2018 staging. This fireworks display, which colored Fukuoka's summer for so long, is engraved as a cherished summer memory in the minds of many citizens. The fireworks over the water, staged at the urban oasis of Ōhori Park, were an event symbolic of their era—one that accompanied Fukuoka's path of postwar recovery and development.
